CAPPA Introduces the Labor Doula Training in SPANISH!

In our commitment to improving birth and postpartum outcomes for at-risk populations, we now offer labor doula training in Spanish. We are proud to educate community members and family support workers to provide support when language is a barrier to quality health care. With the help of CAPPA Latinoamerica* (shoutout Jenny Bertha!) we developed the training process, manual, and certification in Spanish.

Spanish labor doula training is offered in person and online with teachers Abby Border and Lorena Teran. They are available to travel, train online, provide private trainings for an organization (8 people minimum), and collaborate with others to train and certify Spanish-speaking doulas. Please reach out with interest, questions, and ideas for the program.
