Riverdale Star Casey Cott and his wife, Nichola Basara, are expecting their first child together. Cott, who plays Kevin Keller on the hit TV show, and shares his wife Basara People how they found out and the latest details.
“We thought there was a chance I might be pregnant but, you never know until you know!” Basara said. “I woke up before Casey on Saturday morning and snuck into the bathroom to get a Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test…it said ‘pregnant’ SO fast, and I was so happy. The only problem is that Casey is still sound asleep! I waited two whole hours for him to wake up,” the mom-to-be, 31, said.
“Finally, when he woke up, I immediately showed him the front of the test. He was half asleep, but kept jumping out of bed and running around our room celebrating,” Basara said.
The news was met with excitement and congratulations from Cott Riverdale co-stars, including Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, and Cole Sprouse, who commented on the Instagram announcement with congratulations. Fans also shared their excitement on social media, with many expressing their love for Cott and his character on the show.
As Cott and his costars close out their seventh and final Riverdale season the 30-year-old soon-to-be dad sees it as the perfect transition to his baby’s arrival in September. “As a major milestone in our lives—Riverdale, including our time in Vancouver — is coming to an end, a great new chapter is about to begin,” said Cott. “We are excited to be parents and make this boy’s life as wonderful as possible!”
