Actress Busy Philipps named new ACLU ambassador for abortion

The ACLU announced on January 16 that actress Busy Philipps is its new “Artist Ambassador for Reproductive Freedom.”

Philipps is best known for her roles on “Dawson’s Creek,” “Freaks and Geeks,” and “ER,” but in recent years she has become an outspoken advocate of abortion. In 2019, her autobiography revealed that she had an abortion at the age of 15. In 2020, she spoke at a pro-abortion rally, shouting that because she was able to kill her preborn child, she had a successful career and now has “ life is good.”

“I have all this… all this… because, because, because I was allowed bodily autonomy at the age of 15!” she exclaimed.

In recent years, she has also campaigned for abortion on demand, including for minors, and appeared in a propaganda video for Texas abortion business Whole Woman’s Health, an abortion chain with a troubled history of failure. in health inspections.

“We are thrilled to formalize Busy’s role as an ACLU Artist Ambassador after Busy’s years of tireless advocacy fighting for abortion access for all,” said Jessica Herman Weitz, director of artist and entertainment engagement nationwide at the ACLU. “At this critical moment for abortion rights and our democracy, we look forward to working with Busy to ensure that we the people hold power over our own bodies in our country – not politicians.”

In a statement, Philipps said, “I am excited to use my microphone to share the importance of accessible reproductive health care and to advocate alongside the ACLU to protect and expand access to essential care.”

Although organizations like the ACLU often lie that abortion is health care, it doesn’t care – it’s a brutal procedure that results in a person’s death by starvation, dismemberment, or poison. Also, it doesn’t matter — even in cases where a mother’s life is at risk, surgical procedures that can result in preterm birth are not abortions.

As an ambassador for the ACLU, Philipps and her message perpetuate the lie that women cannot be successful without abortion. Pregnant mothers need to be supported at all stages, not told they have to kill their children to succeed.

The DOJ jailed a pro-life grandmother this Christmas for protesting the killing of preborn children. Please take 30 seconds to TELL CONGRESS: STOP DOJ FROM TARGETING PRO-LIFE AMERICANS.
