Always Full of Pride, Especially for Father’s Day

June is here! The days are getting longer and the temperature is getting warmer. The beginning of summer is upon us! While we look forward to all the activities summer has to offer, we also look forward to the things we celebrate in June, like Pride and Father’s Day. Because both mean so much to us, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on what each of them means to us here at SLS.

In 1970, the first Pride parade was held in June in memory of the Stonewall riots. Since then, the month of June has been known as the month of Pride. This month is a time for those in the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to celebrate who they are and what they believe in. Rainbows, parades, music and gatherings are scattered throughout the country.

Although many businesses take this time to show that they are LGBTQ+ friendly, often with rainbow themed merchandise and inclusive marketing, it is usually only reserved for the month of June. However, here at Same Love Surrogacy we are not only LGBTQ+ friendly, but we also support the community, year round. As you can tell from the name of our company, we specialize in same-sex surrogates and egg donors, although we also have clients from other walks of life. In addition, we are deeply involved in the organization Men Having Babies. We help them at conferences, help raise funds for them and help dads and dads-to-be through them. In other words, we are committed to not only being friendly to the community but helping those within it to thrive in their role as parents, by providing the means for them to become parents. We help match him with members of the LGBTQ+ community to egg donors and surrogates who can provide the biological components needed to create life and help them become fathers. In fact, our owners are a happily married, same-sex couple who used egg donors and surrogates to become fathers themselves.

Next weekend, they, along with many of our clients, will be able to celebrate with their children and each other the joy of fatherhood on Father’s Day. They can all take a moment to realize the gift they have in each other’s lives and feel the fulfillment of being a parent. We strongly believe that those who feel called to be a father should also have the opportunity to pursue that call, and we strive to do that for them. If you have heard the call to parenthood and would like our help to make this opportunity yours, please give us a call to discuss your options.
