The perfect time to host a brunch shower is around 11am. The great thing about this is that you can serve both sweet and savory foods!

First, start your baby shower brunch with some fancy drinks!

• Coffee – Be sure to have some java brewin’! Guests love to sip on it while eating dessert. Don’t forget the cream and sugar!

• Mimosas – No baby shower brunch menu is complete without delicious drinks! They can be made with or without champagne. For the real thing, pour two parts champagne to 1 part OJ. Mock version for the mom-to-be: substitute sparkling water, Sprite or 7-Up for champagne.

For a beautiful presentation and some added pizazz, add a splash of pomegranate or cherry juice. Serve in a champagne flute and garnish with baby-themed glass charms.

Below are some delicious baby shower menu ideas to get you on your way to planning an amazing baby shower!

Baby Shower Brunch Menu Basics

• Easy Three Cheese Quiche
Serves 6
Ingredients
• 3/4 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
• 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
• 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
• 6 eggs
• 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
• 1/2 teaspoon of salt
• 1 cup half and half
• 3/4 cup skim or whole milk
• 1 tablespoon of flour
• A 9-inch pie crust

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Bake pie crust for 5 minutes. Add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl and stir. Pour into prepared pie crust. Bake for 45-55 minutes. Insert a knife into the center
of quiche. If it comes out clean, it’s done. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

• Breakfast Brunch Pie
Serves 6
8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup cornflakes, crushed
1 T bacon drippings
5 eggs
2 1/2 cups of frozen shredded hash browns
1 1/2 cups grated Monterrey Jack cheese
1/2 cup of cottage cheese
1/2 cup of milk
1 green onion, thinly sliced

Mix in corn flake crumbs and bacon grease. Set aside. Beat the eggs until frothy. Mix the rest of the ingredients into the eggs. Pour into a 9″ glass pie pan. Top with corn flake mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Having a big party? Double the ingredients and bake in a 13 x 9″ pan.


Fresh Fruit For Baby Shower

Make fruit happy by jazzing it up!

• Fruit Kabobs
Cut up some in-season fruit and slide it onto some skewers for instant fruit kabobs! Easy to make and very impressive! Pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, kiwi, strawberries … all make kabobs!

• Fruit Bowl
Take out watermelon and fill it with delicious cut fruits.

• Fruit Platter
Arrange different fruits on a pretty platter ~ or even a cake stand for a more dramatic effect. Out of time? Pick one up at your local grocery store and arrange it on your own plate.

Baby Shower Brunch Pastries

Instead of a traditional cake, the guest of honor might prefer some sweet pastries! Check out these great baby shower brunch menu ideas!

• Sticky Buns
1 pkg frozen roll dough (18-20)
1 small pkg NON-INSTANT butterscotch pudding
1/2 c. sugar
2 T. cinnamon
1 c. pecans
1 T. melted butter

On the eve of the baby shower, place the frozen rolls in a greased
bundt pan In a medium bowl, combine the pudding mix, sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Sprinkle the frozen dough. Pour the melted butter evenly over the rolls. Cover with a towel and let sit on the counter overnight. Bake the morning of the baby shower. 350 degrees for 30 minutes (until lightly browned on top.) Carefully flip the rolls onto a cute serving platter. Spoon any remaining sticky sauce from the bottom of the bundt pan.

• Baby Shower Fruit Puffs Recipe {From Crystal}
2 puff pastry sheets
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
preserves the berry fruit
fresh berries

Cut the pastry dough into any shape you like. hearts and rectangles work well. bake according to box directions. Allow to cool. divide the puff pastry in half and fill with cream cheese and fruit preserves and fresh fruit. Confectioners’ sugar dust.

• Coffee Cake

1 pkg white or yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1 small pkg vanilla instant pudding mix
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. oil
1 T. vanilla extract
3 T. sugar, mixed with 1 1/2 t. cinnamon
1 c. chopped walnuts

Mix the cake mix, eggs, pudding mix, water, oil and vanilla with a mixer until well blended. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13″ pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Spread with icing and serve:
Quick and delicious coffee cake icing
Combine the following:
2 T. milk
1 t. vanilla
1/2 c. with powdered sugar

• Muffins and Danishes
Pick up some delicious treats at your local bakery or grocery store (Costco) – simple and no baking required!
