Bohemian Baby Shower In The Mountains
Oh baby! This bohemian baby shower is the perfect way to celebrate a new addition to the family. The use of mismatched chairs at the table paired perfectly with the theme. Good conversation happens at a table like that! Furthermore, the chair for the mom-to-be is a fantastic addition for her to open presents and get her moment to shine. We’ll definitely be stuck on that grazing table for…hours. The whole event was very well done!
Gabrielle von Heyking Photography tells us all about this bohemian baby shower,
In October I planned, hosted, and photographed one of my best friend’s baby showers. I hosted her shower at my parent’s house in their backyard in Fairview, NC. The Blue Ridge Mountains surrounded to us. My friend, Brittney, loves all things bohemian and the theme of her little girl Macrae’s nursery is bohemian. Therefore, the theme for her baby shower was Bohemian with lots of neutral colors (tan, ivory, white, brown, pink, and pops of terracotta and orange). We asked all guests to wear their favorite boho dress to the shower. For the flowers, I asked the florist to mix both dry elements (pampas grass, etc…) and roses, + other fresh flowers.
As for the balloon arch, I asked for neutral colors that would pair well with the floral pieces. For the decor, we chose to go with long farm tables with mismatched chairs to add to the boho/carefree feel of the shower. For opening presents for the mom-to-be we used a Turkish rug, and a peacock chair. We placed it in front of the balloon arch. Our shower food is a salad bar, charcuterie grazing table (complete with nuts, bread, dips, fruit, crackers, etc. that mom can eat), gluten-free cake with dried flowers, cake pops . , iced sugar cookies, cake pops, macarons, and make your own mom-osa bars. We had a great time eating, drinking, and opening presents. We celebrated the mom-to-be as the sun set over the mountains.
Finally, we can save all these pictures to our future baby shower board. For example, we’ll need those exact cake pops…Looking for more inspiration? Check Out A Neutral Baby Shower With Modern Details!
