If you use the seat according to the manufacturers safety instructions, you should be perfectly fine. But, for safety reasons, you must observe the following:
- use only when the baby can fully support his head
- although the Bumbo itself is not drunk, it is only to be used on flat, firm ground surfaces and never on elevated surfaces.
- do not use the seat without adult supervision and do not leave your baby unattended in the seat
- always use the restraint belt
- only use it for an appropriate period of time
Again and most importantly: this is a floor seat only. Always supervise your baby while using it!

There is a separate matching play tray available to attach to the seat. This allows the baby to keep his toys close at hand and it helps develop the baby’s hand-eye coordination. The tray attaches easily to the seat and clicks securely into place. It can be taken on and off as often as needed.
