If you’ve been following carafem’s work, you know we’re all about meeting people where they’re at. Whether that’s offering a spectrum of reproductive health care options or sharing those options on billboards, digital videos, at bus stops, or on social media, we do our best to communicate about our client-centered care.
If you’re someone who also stays on top of digital trends and where people spend time online, you’re probably familiar with Gen Z’s favorite app: TikTok. TikTok is a social media platform with short videos and over 1 billion monthly users so it was a natural place for carafem to join the app and unapologetically talk about abortion and all things reproductive health care.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with some great TikTok creators such as Dr. Brenna McCaffrey, Natalie Greenand SexEd to DB to unapologetically spread the word about abortion. We also hope to demystify medically supported home abortion care.
We are very pleased with the launch so far but especially happy with this videowhich has garnered over 1 million organic views, 142,000 likes, and over 2700 comments!

When we joined the app, we wanted our account to be an accessible platform to demystify abortion care and where people could learn more about reproductive health. Everyone deserves to access this information in whatever way is most comfortable for them.
Today, we’re connecting with users from TikTok who are looking for more information about accessing abortion care for themselves. We are also seeing people interested in learning more about how to spread the word to their loved ones about the option of medically supported abortion care at home and how to support carafem’s work.
Our first video is loud and clear about our work, letting people know, “carafem provides all the options so you can choose the abortion experience that’s right for you.” We work hard to ensure we bring our community high-quality content in an intuitive, fun, and unapologetic way.
