Chelsea Handler Delivers Topless PSA Urging Men To Get Vasectomies
Chelsea Handler has a major message for men about birth control — and she delivers it bare-chested.
In a new Instagram reel with the caption “Boys, it’s time to do your part,” the comedian delivered a stark but funny PSA urging men to consider vasectomies as a practical way to prevent unwanted pregnancies.
Handler — who referred to herself as “Chesty Handlerberg” in a video posted Sunday that has since garnered more than 3 million views — had a lot to say about how women aren’t equally responsible for birth control.
“In the beginning, the girls were ducking and diving and dodging pregnancy face-first – or Pikachu-first – and, frankly, they were very tired,” she said while simultaneously giving herself a breast. exam in bed.
“We have to listen to men say things like, ‘Girl, but using a condom doesn’t feel good,’ or ‘Can’t you get birth control?” Or “Oops, I forgot to pull out.” Enough, you little honey little pigs in blankets,” she added.
The Netflix star — who also endorsed “The Nipple is free” campaign empowering women to go topless in public — described the physical pain and negative hormonal effects that contraceptives such as IUDs can have on women.
“Women are tired of making concessions for men, especially in the bedroom,” added Handler. “We’ve been through enough, letting you wear socks while you penetrate us. So man up, boys. And if you cannot do that, enjoy the palm of your hand.”
The former late-night talk show host ended his unorthodox PSA with a final message: “Vasectomies. One snip and that’s it!”
Vasectomy, a rapid medical sterilization procedure for men to prevent future pregnancies, is safe and highly effective, according to National Institutes of Health.
