Materials:

  1. Printable activity calendar (with removable and reusable parts)
  2. Laminating sheets
  3. Scissors
  4. Velcro tapes

Instructions:

1. Laminate the First Page

Begin by laminating the first page of the activity calendar. This page serves as a basic board where your preschooler can stick to everyday elements. Make sure the laminating film is properly sealed around the edges to protect the page from damage.

Once laminated, attach this page to a wall, door, or any other accessible and visible area. You can use double-sided tape or any non-destructive adhesive to mount the calendar.

2. Stick One Side of Velcro Tape to Each Box

Next, cut small pieces of Velcro tape (hook or loop side, it doesn’t matter as long as you’re consistent) and stick them to the inside of each calendar box. These will serve as the basis for attaching your detachable and reusable elements.

3. Prepare Removable and Consumable Parts

From the second page onwards, you will see the detachable and reusable parts of the calendar. It includes elements such as dates, weekdays, months, weather symbols, and other activity icons.

Carefully cut the dotted lines of each element. Be sure to keep the pieces neat as you cut them.

4. Laminate Each Piece

After cutting, laminate each piece individually. Again, make sure the lamination is sealed properly to protect the pieces. This makes it durable, easy to clean, and safe for little hands.

5. Attach Velcro Tape to Each Piece

Once all the pieces are laminated and cut, stick the other side of the Velcro tape (the side not used on the calendar) to the back of each piece. This allows the pieces to stick securely to the boxes on the first page.

6. Change Elements Daily

Now that your interactive daily activity calendar is set up, you can start it with your preschooler. Each day, let your child update the calendar with the current date, day of the week, month, and season. You can also include any special activities or events for that day.

This will not only make learning fun but also help your child understand the concept of time, days of the week, months, seasons, and seasons.

7. Enjoy!

This interactive daily activity calendar is a great educational tool for preschoolers. It encourages hands-on learning, promotes cognitive development, and builds fine motor skills. Plus, it’s a fun daily activity that you and your child can look forward to.

Remember to guide your child from the beginning until they get it. Enjoy this interactive learning experience!
