Denim Fit Guide Dance
Oh if only it were possible to create a denim fit guide! It’s more like a dance to fit jeans in the store. Online? According to everyone who enters the shop, it’s almost impossible-pun intended! How many times do moms walk into the shop wearing cheap jeans they hate, cheap jeans they hate, jeans that slide down or jeans that are too tight..or say they need six boxes they return? Too many.
Denim rules our wardrobes and getting denim that fits …when you’re pregnant? Oh the smiles we see, the joy on your faces, it’s magic!
By the way, what size are you in jeans? Oh mom! First I’ll repeat what many of our denim pages say-don’t go up just because you’re pregnant. Everyday moms show up with jeans that are a few sizes smaller than they are wearing.
Then there’s the fact that people leave every day with two, or even three, different sizes of different jeans. Am I lying? Nah. I don’t do that as those of you who have worked with me know.
On this last point, let me insert a visual, because, well, I’m a visual girl, so we’re here for you, visuals are important!!
They are all the same size.
Except for the smallest….which is two sizes bigger than the others.
.
So, jeans run differently, even by designer. You can’t say “I’m size X in Y brand.” It doesn’t matter.
.
All that to say, if you want jeans and can go to the shop? Grab that bootie from the store and let’s pair it with some jeans that will make you look “Ahhhh”.
.
Can’t get to the shop? We get it. We hear you. Feel free to call or text us during business hours to discuss sizing and fit. Nothing makes me sadder than filling a denim web order. It just hurts because we know you want to look amazing, that’s why you bought them!
.
So, buying jeans online? Text or email for a consultation, and get two sizes!
Seriously. I know it’s hard, but I hope you get a suitable one.
.
Or, go for one of our XS-SML denim options. The odds of getting it right are better when you choose from 4 sizes (XS-L), not 12(23-32)!
.
Keep it up mom! Denim is important. Cute things. Looking good makes us feel better. And no one wants a saggy butt or jeans that keep slipping off!
