Favorite Swim Brand + Pregnancy Update
I can’t believe Monday I will be 18 weeks. 18!!! How did it go by so fast? If you remember about 6 weeks ago we were out of town (pre-pandemic) and I announced that I was pregnant via this blog post with baby number two (I was 12 weeks at the time). Well fast forward 6 weeks, with 5 of those weeks spent at home and now we are at week 18. WILD how fast/slow this pregnancy is.
I heard your second pregnancy went faster than your first and I have to agree with that. Between chasing after a toddler and trying to fill the day with fun quarantine activities, it really did go by very fast. I am really grateful to have had such an easy time so far. I’m pain free, I’m still able to exercise (my pregnancy goal is to exercise before we head to the hospital the day I’m scheduled to have baby girl) and currently no food restrictions. Everything is pretty normal, except crop tops and high waisted jeans are out of the cards for me for the foreseeable future. One thing that has remained the same is I love this swim brand (I’m wearing the yellow suit in the picture above). Guys, I’m not kidding when I tell you how obsessed I am with this brand. this is one size fits all (Yes, what you read is correct), it is seamless (it doesn’t pinch and squeeze your skin) and it goes into so much flattering shapes and styles. Pregnant or not, this suit works for me and I’m so thankful that I can wear something that felt ‘normal’ during my pregnancy (it’s fun to wear brands you love even when you’re pregnant). 10/10 would recommend this brand to add to your swim collection for the summer or laying in your backyard if quarantine continues!
I wish I had more detailed updates for you all about my pregnancy but other than life/the world coming to a complete standstill, everything is pretty much the same!
I will say the one thing I’m MOST excited about is what I’ve started during this pregnancy are the virtual meetings with our interior designer discussing what we’re going to do for the baby girls room (if you know me you know that I love a project). At our first meeting he showed me some pink cloth and I was pretty okay with it but after we got off FaceTime, I called him back and told him I couldn’t do it. I love pink but our house is so cohesive and has such a great design flow, I think if I go the pink route I’ll go crazy and end up wanting to change it…so what I say to this point is that a simple blue(ish) and white bedroom is on the cards for baby girl (when she’s older and wants a pink bedroom, she might get it but for now, not happening 😉 ). I did tell Cindy that maybe we could bring a little pink pillow or bolster (haha). I know, I’m wild.
Well that’s it for my (underwhelming) pregnancy update. I think it’s a good thing no madness to update you. I wanted to add to this post that I understand what a blessing it is to have an easy pregnancy (so far) and I’m grateful for being as normal as possible because I know that’s not the case for everyone. Please know that I’m not *bragging* that I have it easy, but just explaining how things are for ME (which is the point in my little corner of the internet). If you are struggling during this time or with your pregnancy please know that this too shall pass and once you hold the baby in your arms all the pain/discomfort/etc will be worth it! In the grand scheme of things, pregnancy is like a brief blip on the radar and worth EVERY second.
Sending you all the best vibes this Saturday. xx
