We, the Editor and Publisher of European Journal of Contraception and Reproductive Health Carehas withdrawn the following article:

Mohammed K. Ali, Asmaa K. Ramadan, Ahmed M. Abu-Elhassan & Ahmed MA Sobh (2022) Ultrasound-guided versus uterine sound-sparing approach during insertion of a copper intrauterine device: a randomized clinical trial, The European Journal of Contraception and Reproductive Health Care27:1, 3-8, DOI: 10.1080/13625187.2021.1900565

Since publication, significant concerns have been raised about the validity of the statistical analysis and reported results in the article. When approached for an explanation, the authors fully cooperated with the investigation and provided responses to our questions. However, these responses did not adequately address our concerns. As we cannot confirm the validity of the test as reported, we are therefore retracting the article. The authors were informed of this decision.

Our decision-making was informed by our editorial policies and COPE guidelines.

The retracted article will remain online to preserve the scholarly record, but will be digitally watermarked on each page as ‘Retracted’.
