Personalized Sports and Leisure Gear
Does daddy like anything special? Any ball sports, like baseball, football, soccer, tennis, hockey, ice hockey, etc.? Get a ball and personalize it for dad! Print the baby’s hand or footprint on it. Or write / paint on ‘new dad’ or ‘Emma’s dad’. You can also add the baby’s date of birth. If dad loves cars or motorcycles, get a toy or model car / motorcycle and add your letter to it.
Just use your imagination! Dad will love displaying this new ‘trophy’ on his desk at work or at home!

Homemade Daddy Gag Gift
How about a gag gift for the new dad? Put together a homemade diaper change toolbox with lots of fun things for daddy and baby.
For the container, get an ordinary (empty) toolbox or a tool caddy. If it’s a boy, you can choose a blue toolbox, for a girl choose a pink one (yes, you might be lucky to get a pink one indeed!).

Things to include (you can get some of these at the Dollar Store):
– face breathing mask, so daddy can breathe properly while changing baby’s diaper
– (a pair of ordinary swimming) goggles, for better eye protection
– (plain, extra long, wooden grill) tongs, for easy removal and disposal of diapers
– (ordinary) ear plugs, can be used…
– some clothes pegs to use on daddy’s nose when the smell is gone
– baby wipes, well, even mommy needs them when changing diapers
– a ‘bio hazard bag’ (write the bio hazard bag in an ordinary dustbin bag) and rubber gloves, to dispose of the diapers from the tweezers in the bag
– some coffee and an insulated coffee mug, for happy nights
– a spare onesie or bib that says ‘I love daddy’, in case daddy and baby have an ‘accident’
– a pacifier with a funny dad saying, maybe dad can use it too from time to time…
– a couple of sample packets of men’s cologne, handy to ‘cover up funny smells’
– a boo-boo rabbit, for the worst case
– Ibuprofen, when all else fails, take 2…
– some diapers with funny messages written on them for daddy. Choose diapers that are plain white on the back and do not have a pattern and a suitable pen. Alternatively, stick a post it or a small note to the diapers. Funny diaper messages are for example: ‘Be careful! Open at your own risk’, ‘Hold your breath…’, ‘Do not test with finger’, ‘shit happens’, ‘daddy’s turn’, ‘I love daddy’, ‘special delivery’, ‘code brown’
Put everything in your toolbox, add some funny notes to your items (indicate what the items are for, as described above) and finally use metal letter stickers on top of the toolbox to -personalize the new dad baby kit for the new dad!

Yes, photo gifts are also homemade new dad gifts. Even if the whole process is not homemade from scratch, you have to be creative and have to add your own style and luv, too!
Photo album for dad’s wallet: Buy a mini photo album for 4×6 inch photos and put different pictures of baby and daddy but handwritten messages for daddy or make some inserts on your computer, print them and add them between your photos. Here’s a funny quote to use: “A father is a man who takes pictures of where his money is”.
Framed collage: Create a photo collage with photos showing baby and father, add some text and print it at home or at the photo shop of your choice. Put it in a beautiful frame for the wall or put it on daddy’s desk.
Special photo gifts for everyday use: Take your favorite dad and baby photo, mom and baby photo or mom, dad and baby photo and insert it into a tumbler, keyring, snow globe, personal notebook etc. so that dad is always with the baby and the family.
