Happy Holidays to Our Surrogate Solutions Families!
Our team is grateful for every family that we have the pleasure of working with Surrogate Solutions. It is truly an honor to join you on the journey, and we appreciate the trust you have placed in our team to guide and support you on your journey.
The holidays are a time for reflection, and as we look back on the past year, we’ve had the opportunity to share some incredible stories about how families were created through surrogacy. Some of the families whose stories we’ve featured have shared an update on what they’re doing and how they plan to spend the holidays. Here’s what they had to say. Joe and Aaron Aaron was born on July 4, 2019. He is now three years old and a very active and inquisitive boy. I retired from the Department of Justice in 2020, so I spend my time helping my elderly mother and catching up with Aaron. He is very outgoing and loves to play and socialize with other children. These days are a whirlwind of birthday parties, playdates and outings. Having Aaron as a single 55-year-old man is one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life. I’m almost 60 now and I have to try and keep up with Aaron, so I wish I had done it at a younger age!
For the holidays, Aaron and I would get together with my mom, brother and cousin. We all live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Madison, Matt and Harlow We’re great! Harlow is 15 months now and EVERYTHING! He keeps us busy every day, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Life is really different now. We don’t think about when we’ll be parents every second of our lives now. Our focus is on parenting!
This is our second time going through the holidays with Harlow. Of course, we have a picture of Santa, which is a must. It’s crazy to see how much he’s grown since the beginning. We plan to take them every year. Other than pictures, we plan to spend time with our family. As we go, we will create our own traditions with him. Melissa, Greg and Beckham It seemed like in the blink of an eye we went from having a little toddler to a big man. Beckham started his first year in daycare/preschool and grew up a lot. His vocabulary, socialization, and developmental skill set has grown by a million. If you can’t find him playing in his many vehicles (hello emergency vehicles, construction trucks and race cars), you can easily find him on the soccer field or tennis court. He has yet to meet a sport he doesn’t enjoy or a swing he doesn’t want to hit “just right” in the park. Our family feels full of love and joy experiencing life through Beckham. Although we didn’t get to see our surrogate this year, we’re very hopeful that Beckham’s first trip to Disney will be a welcome reunion for all of us, especially since his family loves the adventure park so much.
We’ll be basking in the Florida sunshine this year for the holidays, enjoying celebrations with family both locally and from out of town. The Elf on the Shelf will make his first appearance this year. We’re excited to see how Beckham reacts to this. He is already interested in Santa, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman! One of our favorite holiday traditions is adding an ornament to our tree that symbolizes the year. This year, Beckham will be getting a fire truck for his decoration. He had a firetruck themed birthday party, visited many stations and let out the biggest squeal of joy when he saw one on the road. The attraction is real!
We would like to wish all of our Surrogate Solutions family a very happy holiday season! If you are interested in sharing your story and being featured on our blog in 2023, please send an email to Barette@CreateAHappyFamily.com.
