Getting to Know You: Egg Donor Team, Sam
Sam is the Director of Egg Donation Services at Same Love Surrogacy. Together with her team, she helps Intended Parents’ dreams come true! His kind, respectful, sensitive, and friendly demeanor makes him a wonderful asset to the SLS team.
She is a southern country girl, originally from Norfolk, Virginia, who has been in the medical field for 20+ years! In 2004, she became fascinated with the IVF process, so she applied to work at an IVF clinic where she became interested in egg donation. She completed her first donation while still working at the IVF clinic so she could see for herself how happy the intended parents were when receiving positive pregnancy results or hearing the first heartbeat. Sam was determined just a small part of an intended parent’s journey. She found the process smooth and easy with minimal discomfort and has since donated a total of 10 times!
The most exciting part of her donation experience was the opportunity to meet one of her intended parents. It was an amazing experience for everyone involved and it led to a 13 year relationship. “Having the opportunity to be a part of something so small in the beginning and then become something so big in the end, is a life rewarding experience. It’s a part of me that I appreciate every day, and I’m very proud of.” She said she learned a lot and wants others to know more than when it comes to egg donation “This process is fulfilling and rewarding. Knowing that you played a part in helping others create a family was a magical experience that changed my life forever.” 
Sam has been at SLS for almost 2 years. During that time, she helped lead her team and guided many other women through the egg donation process.
He and his wife live in Southern California and have 4 children, 3 boys and
a 1 girl who is the light of their lives! They enjoy sports – especially watching kids in action, boating, snowboarding, hiking, relaxing on the beach, watching movies as a family, and traveling. They also have 2 dogs, a Pomsky (Pomeranian/Husky mix) and a Yorshiht (Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix) who are like 2 extra children who are loved and spoiled.
