Month of thanks | Ivy’s PPD Blog

As the frosty season begins–my favorite time of year–I want to do what I usually do in November, the month of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Day shouldn’t just be a day of thanksgiving. Then again, it also shouldn’t just be a month of gratitude, either. But hey, it’s better than just the one day, right?

WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR? I thank the following.

  • I am thankful for the health of my family.
  • I am thankful for my family’s home and the town we live in.
  • I am grateful for my job, even if sometimes I want to pass out from the stress it causes.
  • I’m grateful for my daughter’s first college app submission (yes, she’s going to COLLEGE…how is this possible????); others should be easier.
  • I’m thankful for the irises that graced our garden this late fall (thanks to the warm weather), even though a freeze killed them earlier this week.
  • I am grateful for simple pleasures, like flowers and all that nature has to offer that I can see and photograph.
  • I am grateful to have the occasional pleasure of a concert, Broadway show, dinner out with friends, and travel.
  • I am grateful for my friendship over the years.
  • I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to create booklets, flyers, etc. using Canva; it’s another outlet for me besides writing.
