CHICAGO, July 28, 2022 — After last month’s landmark decision in the case of Dobbs against Jacksonthat turned upside down Roe v. Wade, the Pro-Life Action League is hosting a national public education campaign. National Pro-Life Bridges Day will take place on Friday, July 29, with pro-life banners displayed on highway overpasses in cities and towns across the country that read, “Abortion takes a human life .”

“In this post-Roe America, with abortion laws in flux across the country and lawsuits filed on both sides, our message that ‘Abortion takes a human life’ is more important than ever,” said Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League. “On National Pro-Life Bridges Day, we emphasize the fact that, regardless of the changing legal landscape, every abortion involves the same tragedy: the violent destruction of an innocent Life of a person.”

On July 29, small groups of pro-life activists will display their banners on overpasses in 48 different cities, including Chicago, Illinois; Los Angeles, California; Manchester, New Hampshire; Charleston, South Carolina; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Memphis, Tennessee. Scheidler expects more than 2 million highway commuters to see the message “Abortion takes a human life” during the morning and afternoon rush hours.
