Each month, we’ll share resources for talking to kids about prejudice, celebrating diversity, and actions our families can take to create a world we can live in.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, we’re featuring a cute board book that packs a serious thematic punch – the visible power of women as leaders!
This Little Trailblazer: A Girl Power Primer offers bright colors and wide-eyed illustrations to capture the attention of young readers, while chronicling the achievements of ten diverse women who have made important social changes in contexts ranging from racial equality and education of girls to STEAM, arts, sports and law.
With gently rhyming main text and age-appropriate follow-up explanations of each leader’s role, both little ones and their grown-ups will enjoy being inspired by those who paved the way for all children to be trailblazers in their own right.
