Short film spreads propaganda against states with protections for preborn children
A short film released in 2023 features the story of Rachel, a single mother who works as a waitress to support her two children.
WARNING: Spoilers below.
At the beginning of the movie, “Red, white and blue,” Rachel is apparently pregnant and decides to leave her home state of Arkansas to seek an abortion. However, near the end of the film, it is revealed that her pre-teen daughter is pregnant from the rape and Rachel is trying to get an abortion for her. The 23-minute film follows her journey of desperation and paints a bleak picture for abortion seekers in states with pro-life laws.
The film’s writer and director, Nazrin Choudhry, told a interview with Channel 4 News, “In 2022, the Supreme Court made a decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and affected reproductive rights across the board. And so, I want to talk about the real-world effects that come from that decision. Lead actress Brittany Snow and Choudhry both said the film was not meant to be political, with Choudhry saying, “It doesn’t matter if you’re Republican or Democrat, this is a human rights issue.”
In fact, abortion is a human rights issue, but probably not for the reasons the pro-abortion filmmakers think. It can never be a human right to kill another innocent person.
Snow explains that while viewers may begin watching the film with a judgmental perspective, the film’s twist changes perceptions — the twist is that Rachel’s pre-teen daughter was raped and is now pregnant.
At the end of the film, the daughter, who draws a picture of an elephant, explains that female elephants come together and help each other – a seeming encouragement to other women to join in. fight for the “right” to kill their preborn. children and to “help” women who seek it. Rape is a horrible violation of human rights that no human being should have to experience. But abortion does not remove the trauma of rape, and creates another innocent victim of violence.
Serena, a woman endured rape at age 13, Confirming that the abortion her parents paid for her to overcome never reversed “the trauma of sexual assault… I am very grateful for the abortion recovery, but the abortion never took away my trauma.” Serena’s parents’ regret over their daughter’s aborting her son caused difficulties in Serena’s teenage years and later marriage.
Lianna Rebolledo, founder of Loving Life, rape survivor at 12 years old and chose life for his daughter. She said, “As soon as I found out that I had a baby girl, it helped me. It helped me heal and I just know that my daughter has a purpose in life… And she gave me the strength to carry on. He gave me hope. He showed me what true love is, and because of him, I am who I am today.”
Choudhry, who has her own abortion history, told Wrap in an interview, “We’re trying to tell you, ‘These are all the reasons why someone needs and wants this (abortion), and here’s one more reason. If you haven’t changed your mind before, how does it affect you now? Because if you’re human, you should understand why it’s so important.”
In fact, if you are a human being, you should understand that killing innocent people will not solve any social problem. The deaths of innocent people will do nothing to stop violence against women.
