#ThxBirthControl Today & Every Day!
Birth Control, Health Care
On November 13, Maine Family Planning joined our allies in reproductive health and justice to say: Thank you, Birth Control.
Thank you for enabling us to build the families we envision, on timelines that make sense for us.
Thanks for helping us regulate our periodstreat specific medical conditionand control acne.
Thank you for giving us the freedom to pursue our education, careers, and dreams on our own terms.
Thank you for being an important pillar of so many of our reproductive lives and futures!
Did you know? 99 percent of women in the US use at least one form of birth control at some point in their lives. Four out of 5 women who are sexually active use the Pill.
Furthermore, most of our friends and neighbors (nearly 90 percent of respondents aged 18-34, according to a 2019 Power to Decide poll) think everyone in the US deserves to have access to the full range of birth control methods, no matter where they live, or what their economic status is.
(Which makes us wonder, why the Trump-Pence Administration and right-wing lawmakers across the country are aiming to chipping away on birth control access? Why are they? funneling resources in fake clinics that doesn’t offer a full range of contraceptive methods?)
