Why Should I Take a Spinning Babies® Parent Education Class? — Cloud Nine Birth Services | Birth Doula Services | Postpartum Doula Services

Ok – so you google “birth education class” and 1000 options come up and the idea of ​​avoiding them and deciding what and what is the best way I “should” be doing becomes a daunting task. We’ve sifted through, worked with, and understood most of them and we’re here to tell you – take the Spinning Babies ®Parent Class – but not just because we say so, the birthing community knows this stuff works and brings to families feeling like they understand the process and are an important player in the whole process. Let’s take a deeper look at why:

1. Be an Active Participant in your Birth

This is your birth- we want you to have an understanding of what is going on physiologically in your body and your baby so that you can come together. It will guide you as you move through each stage and give you and your partner the knowledge to feel in control.

2. Prepare for childbirth during pregnancy

Athletes don’t show up on competition day and say “I guess I’ll run a marathon today”. They are preparing. We want to give you the tools to prepare your body with Three Balances℠ and Daily Activity to help not only ease pregnancy aches and pains, but also prepare your body for in childbirth. These small things can have a big impact on your body and baby’s positioning, leading to better birth outcomes.

3. Reduce labor interventions

It comes back to understanding your body! We want to encourage your baby to engage the pelvis and help the baby find space to make the necessary movements during birth. By progressing labor and delivery, you can reduce the likelihood of labor interventions. (Ask me how? Wait – take a class!)

4. Shorten your labor

Using Spinning Babies® positions and processes has been shown to shorten labor times. You’ll know when it’s time to act and when a little patience might help.

5. This is not a way! This is for all.

Spinning Babies® supports you, your partner, and your birth no matter where you choose to give birth, how you choose to give birth, or with whom you give birth. It is knowledge and understanding, not a technique. We want you to feel empowered throughout pregnancy, labor, and the birth of your beautiful baby!

There’s a lot to be said for the business of having babies. There is a lot to know and we feel that Spinning Babies® gives you the tools and knowledge to start this journey feeling prepared and excited. But we also do it in a short and easily digestible way. But remember, no matter what course (or no course!) you decide to take, the most important part of delivering babies is love! You can do this!
