Chrissy Tiegen and John Legend welcomed their fourth child, just five months after giving birth to their daughter. Tiegen said he always wanted to have four children, and they began the process of finding a surrogate in 2021. After meeting Alexandra, Tiegen knew the surrogate would be the perfect match. He wants the two families to be friends, play with their children, and be a part of each other’s lives.
The original embryo transfer for Alexandra was unsuccessful, but that didn’t stop them from trying again. Tiegen learned that Alexandra had a successful embryo transfer, and was pregnant with a little boy, at the same time she was pregnant with the couple’s daughter. Her daughter, Esti, joined their family in January, and then Wren was born via surrogate on June 19. Tiegen and Legend have two other children, Luna, 7, and Miles, 5. While Tiegen became pregnant in 2020, she developed complications from a partial placental abruption and was unable to carry to term.
Now that they have four children, Tiegen and Legend have the complete family that Tiegen has always dreamed of. Even as a child, she always had four dolls, pound puppies, or other representations of the number of children she wanted. What started as play acting at a young age ended up with his dream family.
