Harper’s change of heart
Harper* took the cheerful Jack-o-Lantern bib from the rack, and placed it in the cart. She is so excited to shop for baby clothes! A few weeks ago, it was hard to believe that this shopping trip could happen.
This was not his original idea. His mom and dad were angry that he got pregnant with Moe’s* baby. Moe was not their idea of a good boyfriend, let alone a good father for their baby. Even now, he doesn’t talk to his parents. If it wasn’t for her sister Kiki*, Harper doesn’t know if she would have survived those first few weeks. She tells Kiki that she really doesn’t want an abortion because it feels wrong, but she doesn’t know how she’ll go to college with a child.

You’re in Harper’s Corner, Too
One day Kiki asked Harper if she wanted to talk to someone about the pregnancy and her options. He gave her a phone number for something to call Pregnancy Decision Line–a pregnancy hotline funded entirely by your generosity.
He was glad he made that call. The hotline coach was kind, careful, and listened to Harper’s fears. The coach really cares, and even if Harper doesn’t decide to keep the baby right away, that conversation is the first step. Harper begins to imagine a future for herself and her baby.
