Introducing Our New Compensation Package

Here at Surrogate Parenting Services (SPS), we’ve been helping families make their dreams come true for over 30 years, and we’re proud to be one of the best surrogacy agencies in California.

We are passionate about making each client’s experience as comfortable, enjoyable, and fun as possible. This is reflected in the exceptional support we provide to our surrogates and intended parents, our personalized matching process, and our compensation packages.

Over the years, we’ve learned that surrogates who have the most successful and satisfying experiences are primarily inspired by altruistic motivations. That said, there is a financial component to surrogacy in the US, and it can make a significant contribution towards achieving financial goalssuch as putting a down payment on a new home, starting a college fund, paying off student loans, and more.

SPS offers one of the most competitive benefits packages in California. And we’re excited to announce that starting this month, we will expand our benefits package! It’s very important to us that every surrogate in our program is cared for, and these new benefits provide surrogates with even more support on their journey.

Here’s what you can expect as an alternative to SPS.

How does SPS determine compensation?

Compensation depends on the surrogate mother’s level of experience and the details of her surrogacy journey.

In addition to the basic fee, the surrogate mother may receive a monthly allowance that covers non-reimbursable expenses related to the pregnancy. There are additional compensation amounts in case of multiple pregnancies (twins, etc.), c-sections, third party approved health insurance for surrogacy coverage, and more.

When are substitutes paid?

Here at SPS, you will receive a signing bonus once contracts are signed and legal clearance is given. Then, you’ll start receiving a monthly non-countable allowance to cover expenses. Base compensation starts after the second heartbeat confirmation.

Our new compensation package

In April 2023, our base compensation will be $65,000 for first-time alternates, and $75,000 for alternates who have had at least one or more trips.

Our successors will also receive $13,000 in guaranteed extras, which include:

  • A signing bonus
  • Our exclusive pamper package to treat yourself to something special throughout pregnancy
  • A custom health and wellness program with a physical therapist
  • A maternity clothing allowance
  • House cleaning allowance when you are pregnant
  • Etc
