Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder have added a new child to their family of vampires!
The *Twilight and Vampire Diaries The stars announced the arrival of baby number two via Instagram Story on June 29. “A few weeks ago we welcomed our son on what can only be described as one of the best days of my life,” captioned Reed captioned the photo of her newborn holding her finger. . “Born in a house on the water and surrounded by so much love, in an instant, my heart doubled in size.”
Already parents to 5-year-old daughter Bodhi Soleil, the superstar couple has kept their pregnancy and parenthood journey very quiet. “As all of you know, I have very strong boundaries with social media, especially when it comes to children and what I choose to put out into the world. I wanted to share first to say thank you in advance for respecting those boundaries and sending positivity, kindness and LOVE,” added Reed.
The new mother of two closed her post with many thanks given to her delivery support group. She met her “incredible midwife” @Imidawifeabby, the “most amazing” @birthwhisperer and her provider Dr. C. Thanks to @cristinakingbirth for capturing all the moments with her camera as well.
Somerhalder and Reed first announced their exciting baby news in January. “All I wanted since I was young was to have a big family. Thank you Nik for giving me that gift,” she captioned a photo of her with Reed, her bump and their son Bodhi. “ROUND TWO HERE WE GO!!! Thank you thank you to this incredible person for the gift of life and love, for being the most incredible mother and working hard to make dreams come true!!!”
