Top Baby Shower Punch Ideas
This is a simple, alcohol-free version of the traditional Mojito, perfect for a Summer Baby Shower.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of caster sugar
- 1.5 kg watermelon
- 2 limes, sliced
- 2 cups of chilled soda water
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- sprig of mint
- Ice
Step 1 – Place sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Increase the heat to high. Boil. Boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Set aside to cool.
Step 2 – Blend the Watermelon until smooth.
Step 3 – Place a lime wedge in a large pitcher. Using the tip of a rolling pin, lightly crush the lime to release the juice. Add watermelon, soda water, lime juice and cooled sugar syrup.
Step 4 – Add the mint and ice cubes. Serve immediately (serves 8).
