Two Hospital Births: Medicated & Unmedicated

Aleck went into labor 11 days early with his first baby at 38 weeks and 2 days. Her water broke slowly overnight and they went to the hospital shortly after. Sure enough, labor began, and about 16 hours later her baby boy was born healthy! This is a typical medicated birth in a hospital with an OBGYN. He was born at 3:20 am on February 14, 2016 at 38 weeks and 3 days.

Aleck experienced prodromal labor before going into active labor with her second baby at 39 weeks and 2 days. Her husband was out of state for school so as soon as she got home, her body kicked into action and went into full swing. Aleck prepared to have an unmedicated birth with a midwife, and a doula at a hospital. The labor lasted about 9 or 10 hours and her second baby boy was born at 11:15 pm on October 23, 2018. She felt his love and support completely in her desire to have no one. birth medicine.

Bio: Aleck lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife and 2 children. She is also pregnant with her 3rd baby. She has had 2 hospital births, and is preparing for her first home birth. Aleck is a nurse in the Phoenix area, but mostly stays home with her babies. She has always had a strong passion for motherhood, pregnancy, and childbirth and seeks to help other moms on their journey to and through motherhood.
