Baby born in McDonald’s parking lot given appropriately adorable nickname

In Muskego, Wisconsin, on January 11, Analysia Beck started feeling contractions at midnight, at 11 p.m. She was 38 weeks pregnant, and thought it must not be “the real thing” — so she went back to sleep. But she soon woke up to stronger contractions — and then her water broke.

Alerting her husband Daniel and rallying her mother to watch their other children, Analysia continues working on the car while Daniel drives to the hospital in the middle of a blizzard. Even though Daniel is driving as fast as he can, Analysia tells him to stop because the baby is coming — now.

During her pregnancy, Analysia explained that giving birth anywhere but her intended hospital was her “worst nightmare.” Unfortunately, things often don’t go completely according to plan when it comes to bringing babies into the world.

According to Wesh 2 Newsthere happened to be a McDonald’s on the side of the road and here the couple decided to lie down and concentrate on the task.

Calling 911 near 4 a.m., Daniel helped Analysia when she felt the urge to push. “I hit like halfway, and I kind of put my head back in the trunk and I was like, ‘I’m giving birth at McDonald’s. This can’t be real,'” Analysia said.

Emergency personnel arrived as Micah was crowning.

“I pushed three times and he came out,” recalls Analysia, “The paramedics almost didn’t get there, but they were there to catch him … [The baby] straight into the snow. So it literally snowed on his face for 10 minutes. That was his first experience in the world.”

According to Today.com, Micah earned cleverly and adorably nicknamed “Little McFlurry,” because he was born in a McDonald’s parking lot in the middle of a blizzard. His parents think the name is appropriate.

Firefighters and paramedics from the Hales Corners Fire Department near Milwaukee were happy to help welcome Micah, despite the unexpected circumstances. Brianna Baltutis from the fire department explained, “Unfortunately, in this field, we see a lot of people leave this world. And it’s nice to see the other side of it and help someone deliver their child, who in I think it’s so cool.”

Despite looking a little blue after birth, Micah was a healthy baby boy weighing in at 8 lbs 6 oz, and he reportedly “passed all his tests” once he got to the hospital.
